first off I would like to wish a happy birthday to these ladies.
I am so sorry that I couldnt be there to celebrate with you.
miss Brooke
Miss Sicily
I have survived the Trailblazing week of camp.
It was hot. I was sweaty everyday. I laughed a lot.
I think I am falling into the Pine Cove way pretty smoothly.
My biggest upset of the week was learning that you can only wear closed toed shoes at the ranch, which is where I work.
so... i cant wear my chacos...
i only wear my gray new balances that were cool when i was in 9th grade.
I was originally supposed to be a lifeguard at the Ranch.
when i got into the water to swim the 300 like all of the other lifeguarders, i started to swim and there was a shooting pain in my foot.
Remember when i fell down the stairs and sprained my ankle?
Remember when I faceplanted a few days later?
well because of those 2 accidents my foot is mezzzzzzzzed up.
I couldnt kick in the water; therefore I could not swim.
So after talking with our director, Lance, he put me in Ropes.
I was nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrvous. I DONT CLIMB.
so through our whole week of training i managed to stay on the ground except for walking up the stairs to the zip tower.... which shakes violently when someone jumps off the zip line.
so i am now officially trained and certified for ropes courses.
I never thought I would be hanging out in a harness all day.... and kind of like it.
i have met a ton of new people.
i like most of them...
haha okay i like all of them.
It is so encouraging to be around people who are here for the same reasons i am.
we had a worship service on Tuesday evening.
It was so amazing.
A gym full of college kids worshipping like no one was watching.
we serve a good God.
There are a million cheers and chants and games and dances that I have to learn...
i wish i already knew them all because they are all so fun.
I think i was born for camp.
im getting to watch Lost today.
and it. is. awesome.
