Our close friends Caleb and Rebecca Houston are literally close. They live about 3 blocks away from my little apartment. They got married this past May. I can't believe that summer is basically over!
The Houstons invited Mr. Luke and I over for lunch.
They made pecan crusted chicken which was delicious and yummy garlic bread. Mr. Luke and I contributed loaded mashed potatoes (I had never made mashed potatoes before!) and a green salad with strawberries and feta-- favorite.
Caleb "classed" up the meal by bringing out the chilled Welches White Grape Juice. Hilarious.
Rebecca has fantastic taste and style. We love going to their apt and eating off of her fancy dishes.
We went to the Butterchurn, a local antique store with great prices, and found a couple of sweet items.
We ended the afternoon with a walk down old town to When Pigs Fly, another antique store, and purchased some Jones Soda.
The Houstons outside of their apt.
I am ready for cardigan weather. I want to walk around outside and not be sweaty. Is that too much to ask for? Come on, Mississippi!
What do you guys love most about fall? My favorite part is walking around outside... wearing a cardigan and not getting sweaty. haha.
I am also ready for fall! I want to know more about these antique stores...Hattiesburg is seriously lacking good thrift/antique stores.
