First things first: The scripture verse I can't shake:
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a]life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:3, 12-15
Our lives are hidden in Christ. These are our instructions on how to conduct ourselves.
This summer I started working full time at Mississippi College.
It was absolutely a God thing. I praise Him everyday for letting me have the coolest job on the planet.
This is a photo tour of my work life/space
I knew the day would come where I couldn't' wear v-neck t shirts and skinny jean/crazy skirts all day everyday anymore, I just didn't realize it would come so fast!
I've been trying to build up my professional wardrobe without losing my personal funky/comfortable/classy-indie style.
This particular day I was wearing one of my favorite dresses and had a messy bun. Its purple with dark purple flowers, has pockets, is made from that awesome stretchy material, and is from the Gap Outlet.
I paired it with a creamy white shrug I snagged from a Banana Republic Outlet. I wear that shrug far too much. Im not sure if shrugs are still cool, but its whatever. I'm also wearing my name tag and I got new bangs.
After I get dressed, I grab my work bag (the green one with pale green flowers) and head out the door.
I am fortunate enough to live only 2 blocks away from work.
Its about a 4 minute walk.
MC's campus is known for its beauty.
This is my desk.
This is my work ID. Its sitting in the little log Mr. Luke made for me.
2 monitors.
I do everything on Post-Its
Encouragement Post-Its. Always a favorite.
Recognize these?
I really love my desk.
If I didn't love it, I would be up the creek without a paddle because I spend A LOT of time sitting there.
I hope that was enjoyable.
