Craft Photo Shoot

Hello there!

This week I have a TON of photos to share with you of things that I've been making.

I have been wanting to do this forever. Last night I finally had a craft photo shoot staring my roommate/bff, Morgan.

Welcome back to my dorm room. This is my favorite spot in the room.

Because Mr. Luke's mom, Mrs. Barb, is amazing at everything, she and I had "Crafturday" this past weekend. I saw a decorative pillow on a blog site and another one similar to it in a sewing book at Barnes and Noble. I knew that I HAD TO MAKE IT. So Mrs. Barb taught me the beauty of applique (just because I love it doesn't mean I can spell it hah). She helped me piece this little beauty together. She also gave me a few scraps of fabric to help with the leaves and the neutral background color. We cut out little strips of fabric and then ironed them onto the applique paper. After that I drew out leaves and a tree trunk, then cut them out. We peeled off the paper and then ironed the leaves onto the fabric. After that, I sewed on the trunk and the leaves. This was my first legit sewing project! She has created a monster. After that Mrs. Barb did the rest and made it into an actual pillow. I've never been prouder.

I saw on another blog these little fabric pom poms. They seemed super easy to make... and they were (the floral and green plaid in the back). Morgan and I made those little guys last night. I wore mine today and felt like a million bucks.

The yellow flower in the front is my most favorite accessory. Its one of the first crochet flowers that I made and I literally wear it with everything. If it is not pinned to my shirt or cardigan, then it is pinned in my hair.

This crocheted green and cream headband is modeled by my beautiful roommate, Morgan.

I am seriously tempted to keep this coral and gray one.

It pops so well with her dark hair!

This is my flower basket. It is usually full of crochet flowers, but I have been a little busy with school... but I make at least one a day so it will fill up quickly with beautiful and colorful flowers for spring and summer.

I also love these little guys. These are the larger ones of the "mini series". I love them.

Well... anything you've seen today can be purchased with the proceeds going to the Botswana Orphan Care Center.
