Tunesday: She & Him

I have been a She & Him fan for years now. Volume 1 probably has a million plays on my iTunes.
Mr. Luke introduced me to their Christmas album "A Very She & Him Christmas"
This is our favorite song from the album!

I put my Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving.

Tunesday

At the DNOW I worked a couple of weekends ago, Mr. Luke and I got the opportunity to lead worship with a big group of talented people. My friend Chandan introduced us to this song, "All Things New". Its so beautiful! It blew me away!
Its so joyful and true.

In Christ all things are made new! Lets rejoice in that!

I hope that you have a blessed day! Happy Tunesday!

The Seven Tour

This past Sunday night Mr. Luke and I were fortunate enough to see Chris August, John Mark McMillan, Gungor, and David Crowder. It was amazing.
We found out that the tour was coming down our way this summer, but always forgot to purchase tickets. When we finally got on the site to buy tickets, they were all sold out!
Luckily a friend of a friend had 2 extra tickets!
It was incredible.
This night is documented through Instagram photos.

John Mark McMillan started the evening off with a bang.
He's a giant!

The only Chris August I had heard prior to Sunday night was "Starry Night" I didn't even realize that was the same guy.
He was super funny and had neat songs.

The highlight of my night and what I was most looking forward to was Gungor. They did not disappoint. I think Lisa Gungor is amazing. I want an air piano! Not that I know how to play it, but I would learn. BTW the cellist beat-boxed. INSANE.

Crowder.
Not only was this the last night of the tour, but it was the last tour that the David Crowder Band will be on together. Its the end of an era.

The classic Clap Above Your Head. So fun.

The closer was "How He Loves." Crowder started it off, but after the first verse John Mark McMillan came out and sang. His deep voice just brings something different and even more powerful to the song. It was stunning. Michael Gungor and Chris August also came out and all 4 of the guys finished off the night together. INCREDIBLE.

Tunesday: States

Mr. Luke introduced me to States months ago when they released their first EP  "Line em Up". I was destined to be a fan because the members include people from Copeland and Lydia.

Their new album "Room to Run" has been another constant play on spotify these days. My personal favorite is "Follow it Home"

Enjoy!

The Great I Am

This past Wednesday night at church, Mr. Luke lead us in this amazing song.
This is one of those songs that you just have to throw your hand up in the air, sing like no one is watching, scream out the words, and/or stand in awe of our Savior and cry.
I did a combination of all 4.

We serve an incredible God.
He is worthy of all praise, adoration, and devotion.
I challenge you and myself today to put on the new self

We can do this. We can live for Christ.

I hope that you have a beautiful weekend.

Tunesday

I know that I have said it before, but I have an amazing job at Mississippi College. Its a beautiful combination of fun and productivity, plus I get to work with amazing people.
One of my favorite parts of my job is MC's blog on Tumblr, Choctaw(k) (Choctaw + Talk = Choctaw(k)... sound it out)

Choctaw(k) is not just a blog about Mississippi College.
Its a group of talented students who happen to go to MC sharing their lives. There is a wide variety of topics and posts. Music, pictures, crafts, stories... you name it.
Therefore, I encourage you to go check it out. Its entertaining.

One of the writers, Kenneth, always puts up new and fresh tunes.
I had never listened to Freelance Whales until I saw it on Choctaw(k).
Thanks to Kenneth, they have been a frequent listen on Spotify.

Take a look and enjoy!

Whats your favorite song right now?

Needtobreathe = New Tunes

Hello Friends.
Recently there has been some very lovely and wonderful new music.
Who doesn't love hearing new tunes?
I have basically worn Eisley's "The Valley" out. It hasn't left my cd player in my car since it dropped in March of this year. Needless to say,  I need some new tunes.

My sister, Bec, is a Huge Needtobreathe fan. She's been trying to get me to listen to Needtobreathe for forever. Well, Needtobreathe made their television debut on Jay Leno a few nights ago.
I've never really listen to Needtobreathe before, but according to Mr. Luke they sounded like, "a mixture between Kings of Leon and Mumford and Sons" on this particular single.

I couldn't embed the video onto the ole blog because it wouldn't let me, but if you click right here you will be taken to a video of their live performance.

On a side note:

This is what I looked like at this time last year.
I really haven't changed much.
Im ready to wear cardigans.
