There are few things that rival time spend with your girl friends. Theres just something about a bunch of girls getting together to hang out, giggle, and encourage one another.
This weekend I have been fortunate enough to have girl time.
Even though I've lived in the metro Jackson area for 3-ish years now, I haven't done much exploring in downtown Jackson. Today some lovely friends and I went to the Farmer's Market by the fairgrounds.
The Market opens early in the morning and closes around 2. We realized when we arrived around 11 that all the good stuff is there in the morning. The next time we go, we will be going early.
We did not walk out empty handed. Laura bought Sun Dried Tomato wheat bread. We tasted it. It was delicious. Vannah and I bought that beauty in the middle. Its an olive and feta loaf. It smelled incredible! Our car smelled like an Italian restaurant. Emily bought some homemade salsa, which was also incredible.
We met some lovely people. I spoke to this one sweet lady at her handmade crochet and knitted items booth. She invited me to come back next week for some free knitting lessons. I want to go back.
After our fruitful trip to the Farmers Market, pun intended, we went to Brent's Drugs for lunch. Until today I've only ever had a milkshake from there.
We enjoyed cheeseburgers, milkshakes and lovely conversation.
After the Farmers Market and Brent's Drugs fun, I ran over to my favorite coffee shop, CUPs, for some JJ time. I ran into my beautiful friend Emily L.
Its been a great day for girl time!
When's the last time you spent a day celebrating your girlhood?
