The Fondren District in Jackson is one of my most favorite places.
Its artsy, indie, trendy, vintagy, and awesome.
There is a wonderful coffee shop, Sneaky Beans, which not only serves yummy coffee, but also has fun shows.
One of our greatest and coolest friends, Patrick, called me out of the blue to meet him for lunch a few days ago. He has been on tour with A Sequence of Ghosts all summer and we haven't seen him in forever!
We ate a delicious unhealthy lunch at Roosters and then he and Mr. Luke jumped into best friend mode and talked about guitars and guitar gear. I should have brought a book to read. Ha kidding.
If you have seen the move "The Help", which I hope that you have, a good portion of the film was filmed in Fondren. Brent's Drugs for sure was in a couple of scenes.
How cool is that??

We walked over to Brents and got milkshakes. It was possibly the best milkshake that I've ever had. I encourage you to go get one if you are ever in the area. |
Check out all of those old dishes in the shelves. Geez its cool. |
Go out and make some memories today. |
