Weekend in Photos.

A couple of weekends ago my lovely sister, Becca, moved into her new apartment in Birmingham, AL. I drove up Friday morning to see my parents, who were there helping her move, and also to assist her in putting things away in her new apt.

She now lives in a cozy apartment and serves as the girls minister in the youth department at the Church at Brook Hills. I am so proud of her. She is the example of living on the promises of the Lord, waiting for his guidance, and having complete trust in Him. We can all learn a lesson from her.

While in Birmingham while she was learning where all the cool places are, we went to little restaurants, shopping centers, and home stores galore. I kind of love a home store these days. I guess I think that my apartment has room for more stuff when the reality is that its full to the brim of things that I have accumulated over time.

We started off our adventure strolling around the Summit. OF COURSE we walked through Anthropologie. Seriously every time I browse through I get inspired to make something.

We also went to this charming flower and gardening store. Both Bec and I feel the urge to plant something, cultivate it, and watch it grow. Our mother has never been prouder.

Now I just need to figure out how to make it grow and not die...

New obsession: earthy things and baskets. This happens to be the combination of the two. mmm.

Let me plant!

This is Bec giving the introduction to the mornings Sunday School lesson. Simply inspirational.

Sunday morning worship at the Church at Brook Hills. So moving and challenging. I'll blog about that later.

Our family celebrated Fathers day the Friday before when we were all together, but we still decided to honor our father and eat at his favorite restaurant.

I think the main factor of why Jason's Deli is so wonderful is because of the ice cream that comes with the meal.

I hope that everyone has had a sensational weekend and is looking forward to the week!

Enjoy,
JJ

  1. JJ! I am SO excited that Becca is in Birmingham at Brook Hills! I LOVE that church and city so very much, and miss it all the time. Fortunately, I get live vicariously through my little sister since she is in Bham AND a member of Brook Hills... which means that Becca and Lee Ann should probably be friends. :) I hope you are doing well, sweet friend!!!

  2. p.s. I also adore that flower shop! I made many a visit to that sweet store when I lived there, and I dreamed of gardening once moved out of my dorm. :)
